Winners of the AI4Health.Cro Competition Announced

The AI4Health.Cro conference, held on April 8, 2025, once again brought together artificial intelligence and healthcare.

Leading experts from science, policy, and innovation gathered to analyze the achievements of this project and discuss future steps. From advanced diagnostic tools to improving patient outcomes, artificial intelligence is proving its value and practical application in modern healthcare.

Following keynote speeches by Dr. Hemmel Amrania (CEO of Digistain®) on breast cancer diagnostics and Kaloyan Ratchev (founder of Vangavis), one of the highlights of the conference was the AI4Health.Cro Innovation Challenge 2025. During the challenge, talented young teams developed AI prototypes for earlier and more accurate detection of potentially cancerous changes in mammograms. Early detection can save lives, and projects like these demonstrate the power of technology for good.
