Croatian AI Landscape
In October 2020, CroAI launched the first Croatian AI Landscape. This resource maps out key stakeholders, including companies, startups, academia, and research institutions. Updated regularly, with the latest version released in October 2022, it features 341 organizations, including 115+ startups, with 17% having female co-founders. The Landscape tracks the significant growth of AI in Croatia, with the majority headquartered in Zagreb. A new version is currently in development.

In November 2024, CroAI, in collaboration with the University of Zagreb, surveyed 809 participants, including 361 teachers, to explore AI's role in education. The study revealed AI’s potential to personalize learning, boost motivation, and ease administrative tasks, while highlighting challenges like lack of training and concerns over data protection. Despite this, educators showed strong interest in adopting AI, paving the way for a more innovative education system in Croatia.
