On December 4, CroAI concluded the year by hosting the final CroAI Meetup of 2025 in Pula, held at Coworking Pula in collaboration with ICT ISTRA.

The meetup focused on the impact of new European regulations on the development of artificial intelligence and the challenges of aligning innovation with regulatory frameworks without slowing technological progress. Through an open and insightful discussion, participants explored how regulation is shaping the future of AI in Europe and what this means for organizations, researchers, and investors working in the field.

The discussion featured Marko Porobija, Ivan Lorencin, Mauricio Licul, and Dean Benazic, who shared their perspectives and experience on key issues related to developing and deploying AI in a regulated environment. The conversation was moderated by Nina Popović, who facilitated a dynamic exchange between the speakers and the audience.

Particularly encouraging is the strong positioning of Istria as a growing tech and AI hub, supported by an active community of professionals who not only follow regulatory and technological changes but actively contribute to shaping them.

We would like to thank the ICT ISTRA team for their collaboration and support in organizing the event, the moderator for guiding the discussion, and all participants whose questions and engagement contributed to the quality of the meetup.

With this event, CroAI concluded another successful year of community activities and knowledge exchange. We enter the new year with a clear focus on further connection, knowledge sharing, and the continued development of the AI ecosystem.

This event was held as part of the Thematic Systemic Support of the National Foundation for Civil Society Development, within the theme Artificial Intelligence and Social Development.
